task To design a site for a Bay Area doula and home healthcare practice.

challenge The client started her practice under the name Mango Mama Doula Services before rebranding the business in 2013. The original website design—developed in html and css—needed to emphasize Ms. Fino's strong yet personal approach to birth support while conveying a warm, nurturing feel.

solution For inspiration, both the mango fruit and blooming California desert were referenced for choice of color palette, single-column layout and navel-like extension of the navigation bar beyond the content container. To accompany the 2013 branding project, the client requested to update the company website to a Wordpress site for easier content management. Currently in progress, beginning stages include updating typography and toning down the original colors to match the logo design. view site
