task Create a poster design for the student-produced fashion show, which features conceptually strong, fashion forward designs and a talent for architectural construction and couture technique.

challenge The client’s connoted messages included mystery, high-fashion, sophistication, and Fritz Lang’s futuristic style.

solution The concept was an imagined sultry cityscape for the 21st century. Loosely based on the aesthetic of Fritz Lang and Art Deco’s focus on early 20th century industrial progress, the design contrasts the long slender line work of the 1920’s with pixilated reference to the dramatic technological progress of the 21st century, particularly in the Bay Area.
