task Develop the Breakroom site, designed by Christopher Clark for an Advanced Web Design class at CCSF.

challenge Become familiar with using developer tools such as Adobe's Brackets, Twitter's Bootstrap 3 front-end framework and upBootstrap3WP Wordpress starter theme, AngularJS javascript framework, GitHub Gists, Scout and Google's Chrome Canary.

solution This site&thsp;&emdash;&thsp;and an accompanying style guide&thsp;&emdash;&thsp;was first developed in HTML and SaSS, and then redeveloped as a Wordpress child theme. The living styleguide was first coded in HTML and CSS within the Bootstrap 3 framework, and snippets of markup, SaSS and CSS were documented within the styleguide using GitHub Gists. With styles in place, the Breakroom site was then developed as a single page web template which dynamically loads partials and directives as needed, using jQuery, the AngularJS CDN and local javascript files. Upon completion, the entire site was rebuilt as a Wordpress child theme using upBootstrap3WP as the parent template.
